Sorry for being late.
Welcome to this meeting. I hope you are all staying safe during this Pandemic. And this is the meeting to wish you all a Happy Easter. It is going to be a bit different from what we had planned, we were supposed to be in the UK with family. Need to pop out for an egg, that must be essential shopping!!
Have been involved with a few local causes buying or making PPE for Ambulance drivers and other front line staff. PLease tell here of all you are doing in the community to help others.
We have a meeting tomorrow re Membership etc. with the Coordinator team and Director Elect Nicki Scott. Will report back here.

Thanks Chris, hope everyone is keeping well too. Sorry for being late. Have been involved with a few local causes buying or making PPE for Ambulance drivers and other front line staff. PLease tell here of all you are doing in the community to help others. Good to hear. Can't detail all I'm doing here, but suffice to say my role in government is central to the response right now, so work days are long even if from home. Sorry for being late. We have a meeting tomorrow re Membership etc. with the Coordinator team and Director Elect Nicki Scott. Will report back here. That's good to hear, would be very keen to see this report back. At the moment I feel completely in the dark on what this club is thinking for next year and despite all the talk of modernisation (great article by Kar Wilding from the NCVO on the Rotary website), don't actually see a club where I'd fit next year.

Hi Chris hope you and Di are safe and well. We are still supporting the food bank in Keighley, collecting food from supermarkets and helping to deliver food parcels to people who have been registered as in need. At least we can give service that way to help our community. Stay safe and I wish you all a Happy Easter

Here in Portugal we have donated the money we were holding for the Food Bank project (they are having problems getting a specification off the ground and everything has stalled) to providing PPE to the frony line Ambulance staff and the Bombeiros. Some enterprising teachers are using the school's 3D printers to make visors and with more printers they can make more visors. We are also supporting Alerta (who give the warnings about forest fires) in providing PPE to the Bombeiros.
Thought you might like to hear about our double lockdown for Easter. rom midnight last night we cannot move out of our municipality (the police are guarding the "county lines"), the airports are closed. It all has a feeling of increased seriousness. Only until Monday night but the authorities in the Algarve are terrified of tourists from the North, where most cases are, bringing it down here.
As Richard Osman tweeted "I'm waiting to run short of bread and milk so I can go out and buy Easter Eggs!"
Stay Safe.

How was the meeting with Nicki? What's in the thought process for this club next year?
If it remains as it is, I'm tempted to start a satellite of past Rotaractors within this club setup (like yours in Portugal) to allow us to do Rotary in a very different way, but one that adds Rotary's value.
