I am sorry this post is late to start our first meeting. Here is a message from Emily.
"I would like to welcome you all to this new way of communicating for the Rotary Club of Great Britain and Ireland. I hope this will be one of many tools which we use communicating to build relationships and projects and along the way a bit of Rotary building too. This is a new way of working for us and as such we have a tremendous opportunity to make sure that we have the flexibility to get exactly what we would all like from Rotary and to learn a little something about this organisation along the way."
I would be grateful if all of you could log in to this thread and discuss our club business here. I will work out agendas for the forthcoming meetings with items of interest, news and discussions. Please let me know by messages here if there is any topic you particularly want us to cover.

Message from District 1060 Secretary: "DICTIONARIES FOR SCHOOLS Wylde GreenRC project "Dictionaries for Schools" has been accepted by the Aviva Community Fund. If successful the Club could receive up to £1000. Please can you vote for the project and also ask family members, friends and colleagues to do likewise? Every email address voting carries a maximum of 10 votes. Please spread the word! Thank you if you've voted already. Wylde GreenRC Use the link below to access the voting area: community-fund.aviva.co.uk/voting/project/view/4-347?fbclid=IwAR33oGD-FaIsNomdJ1Wi9j2gMhcRZowu-B34VGC9Sn7ISYSLUEw_N8qRD78 Project Description The Rotary Club of Wylde Green wishes to continue its support of the national literacy programme with their Dictionary For Life (D4L) project. This involves working with four local primary schools and involves 280 pupils. The intention is for each of the children to receive an Osborne Illustrated dictionary at the end of the current school year. The Osborne Illustrated UK Standard edition Dictionary 4 Life comprises 1,000 illustrations, 10,000 entries and 20,000 definitions printed in full colour on leaflet grade paper from a sustainable forest and contains 288 pages. The project reflects the priorities of the Rotary movement nationally by gifting dictionaries to pupils in local schools. We will liaise with each of the schools and arrange to present the dictionaries. Our Club President will present each child individually with their dictionary. Every book will carry an inscription saying to whom it is presented and by whom. As the young people go into the next stage of their education and beyond, they will always have a good dictionary as a source of reference. The project seeks to encourage independent learning and stimulate an interest in language, books and reading."
