Hello from Sunny Portugal. We are in the middle of a busy time here. The Volta ao Algarve came through our small village twice in 4 days last week and tomorrow is Carneval with over 5000 people descending on the village for one of the best processions of floats in the Algarve. Lunch today was simple

Pretty amazing Chris. After two days of intensive planning held in the Nationwide House Conference Suite (a basement area with no windows), any time outside will be good. :-) It’s been a busy week Rotary wise too. On Monday evening I supported a “Fill your plate for Polio” event run by the Rotary Club of Swindon Old Town. I managed to get two colleagues from Nationwide to join me and four more made donations that went towards raffle tickets. I just felt sorry for the person selling tickets when I asked her for 22 strips! A successful event all round as it raised £373.50 for Polio (event better with the double match from the Gates Foundation). The Swindon Old Town Rotary Breakfast on Wednesday had the visit from the District Governor - delayed as her father passed away just before the original scheduled date. Tomorrow morning sees the launch of their Satellite Club - also a breakfast meeting, but on Thursday mornings in a community cafe run from a local primary school.

Did anything come of the request for a Zoom meeting with DG Bala? I do have a free Zoom account that would give us up to 40 minutes for a meeting. Any particular time or day? I would imagine we would have a challenge between ‘office hours’ or not... Would this be Bala’s ‘DG visit’?

It would be her Official Visit. Thanks for the offer of the Zoom account - I have never used it. I thought this was being arranged in Alcester. I will chase it up.
