Hi Chris. Just to note, I did view the last thread however was never prompted to sign in so you may not have recorded it. Is it right that this forum is open to the public to view?

This forum requires people to email a request to join and then a moderator (Tom or me) sends credentials to access. If I am mistaken perhaps Tom can correct me.

Hi Chris, I can view all the topics without being logged in. I can't post however, that's the difference.

Sorry Gang, I've been a bit flakey with participation recently, for those of you not aware, I had my retina partially reattached a couple of months ago and it didn't quite go according to plan so I am still struggling to do much screen time and having to prioritise urgent items in my day job if you need me specifically and quickly you can always email (emily.styles@rotarygbi.org)but I will also try to keep popping on here when I can.

Thanks Emily, I did hear - don't worry about getting involved in here, please prioritise your own wellbeing! Sounds very unpleasant although I'm sure the office are treating you well - take care

Hi Everyone
I read the posts regularly, but don't always have something to contribute. Emily glad you are slowly getting there, but please take care. I visited Maidstone Club last Friday. Lovely group, however they only have one Lady member. One has just left the club and one can't commit to weekly meetings so she has been made " a friend " of the club, so she can participate in some things. I have always had a very keen interest in recruitment but more so in retention. Why are so many members leaving?? Statistics can always be justified, but I'm more interested in the really story behind the member leaving. Maidstone club is certainly looked very friendly and I had a lovely welcome. I'm attending District 1120 conference next weekend. Watch this space. I will have something to post after the event.
Any news on badges please??

Change of subject - this week is our Third Foodbank Friday! We are doing a collection at our Support Centre here in Alcester - would you like to do something similar where you are? A good place to start is with the following website www.trusselltrust.org/

Hi Claire Wish I could - I've just sent £107.02 (not forgetting the 2p!) to End Polio Now on behalf of a local organisation Bovey Tracey Activities Trust (set up for over 55s and supplying activities for them to join making sure people aren't lonely). I organised a talk on End Polio for them and the cash was donations at the end of the talk. RESULT! That money to End Polio is going under our e-club donation total - so, for now, I'll consider that my involvement with your event
