Hello everybody.
Only 8 people attended the last meeting. This is our formal meeting and where our business gets done.
We have a Corporate Member and the representatives are Jonathan and Diane Miller. Welcome aboard.

Hi Chris
I'm having some issues with getting on this forum, and then being able to contribute. I'm hoping that this one at least gets through.
I haven't been able to see anything more about what's happening with the club badges. Is there anything yet? It's a great idea, as it would give representation for members.
On another note, I haven't been all that well recently, but am now 'on the up' I think. I'm now helping with my ex-regular-club's annual art exhibition (which I used to organise over 3-4 years) and am looking forward to seeing it come into being from this week for two weeks. This will be the 20th year that it's been running - not bad eh? Usually, it makes about £6000+. We'll see what this year brings!

Hi Everyone
This is the invite from the Secretary of the Rotary Club of Redditch Kingfisher Peter Ramage to E-Club members to join them for a skittles evening - if you happen to be in the Redditch area on the evening of Tuesday 13th August...
Final numbers for catering purposes (and any dietary requirements) to Claire Haines at the Rotary Support Centre - claire.haines@rotarygbi.org - by Thursday 8th August please!
We are told it is a fun night out 😊
Details are:-
The Rotary Club of Redditch Kingfisher have been organising an annual skittles evening between the Rotary Clubs in Redditch and Alcester for many years. For the last 2 years we have invited members from the E-Club in Alcester and we have welcomed members and their partners, you even won the winners trophy 2 years ago. We have organised the latest event on Tuesday evening 13th August at 7.00pm for a prompt 7.15pm start. It is at the Mettis Aerospace Social Club, Cherry Tree Walk, Batchley, Redditch. The cost is £10 per head which includes a fish and chips supper and a raffle ticket. We hope that some of you would like to attend and take part together with your partners for a great fellowship evening.
Look forward to hearing from you.

Hi Everyone
I would like to add to Dee request about the badges please. Is there any news please. Quiet in Kent at the moment. I was due to visit a friends club in Essex last Thursday, but one of the Dartford Tunnels was closed. Yes on the hottest day of the year. There was a huge back log so my journey was cancelled. It was a pity, never mind better luck in the autumn

Hi Everyone - particularly Dee and Wendy, I have been a little sidetracked working through a job application process for the first time in 30 years - while also feeding into our annual assessment as Foster Carers and making major changes to the website for the GB&I Rotary Scholars' Networking Event (someone suddenly decided to change the name from 'Link Weekend' to 'Orientation Seminar' - an easy decision for them to take...). Mostly out of the way now and I have been offered the job - subject to the usual HR delays while they fine tune the small print. :-) I have pulled together the design elements I want to use for the logo / badge, so should have something to show quite soon. Many apologies for not getting to it a bit sooner. Paul

Hi Dee,
You seem to have got through fine this time. The art exhibition sounds really good. I hope you are really feeling better soon. We should talk on the phone, but I want you to concentrate on being "on the up"

Hi Paul,
Congrats on the job. Looking forward to your ideas on a banner/badge - everybody seems to think it is a good idea.

Thanks everyone. Paul, we'll look forward to seeing your design -and additional thanks for taking the time to do this for us. A 'proper' badge would be such a benefit for us all AND help us get the 'message out there' that we DO exist and we can help and DO.
The art exhibition is going well so far - only another two weeks to go. This is the longest period we've run this event and it can be difficult getting sufficient number of Rotarian volunteers to steward the event - seems to be even more difficult this year ........ BUT we're there, we're dong the job and it's generating interest, so what more should we ask? (Oh yes, we could ask for more stewards!)
Never mind, we'll get there.........
All best wishes to everyone

Just double-checking before I give final numbers to Redditch Rotary...
Does anyone want to attend the skittles evening on Tuesday 13th August at 7pm?
It is at the Mettis Aerospace Social Club, Cherry Tree Walk, Batchley, Redditch. The cost is £10 per head which includes a fish and chips supper and a raffle ticket.
I will be there with my husband, Steve, and it would be great to see others from our club there too, if at all possible.
